I sewed a few stitches

After the game I went downstairs and sewed just a little. I’m working on a scrappy Hourglass quilt – one of my favorites for scraps. Sometimes I use a scrappy background and sometimes I don’t. Since I wanted something easy and already had a stack of colored squares I chose to use just one background fabric on this one.

My 6 inch finished quarter square triangle die from Blue Wren and my GO make quick work of cutting these.

I haven’t accomplished as much as I’d planned in the last couple weeks and I’m going to stop worrying about it. I like to make a big push at the end of the year and finish up as much as possible but I’ve had some challenges and some distractions so I’ll just accomplish what I can and not stress about it.

  1. You have already accomplished so much! It’s ok to take time for yourself, and to give yourself a break. Love the latest green blanket-

  2. Now those are wise words Mary! Sometimes it is good to just “be”, after all we are human beings, not human doings. Give Finn a cuddle for me please..

  3. I do love an Hourglass block, in any size. That 6″ version cut with the dies must really be fast and easy. I’m also trying to adopt your philosophy of doing what we can and not stressing about it.

  4. I think you are the right track to not let those things you can’t get to bother you. Life is so fast moving and we think we always have to keep up with everything but guess what! We don’t have to! Enjoy

  5. Remember all you do do. You are amazing. take care of yourself. All the best. Carolyn
