I did finish assembling the scrappy hourglass top today … it took longer than planned but it’s done now and ready for quilting.

This one is made with 6 inch finished quarter square triangle blocks and is set 9 blocks across x 12 rows and is approximately 54 x 72.
Not sure whether this will be one of the ones finished before the end of the year or not. I’d planned for a big push with my quilting marathon starting Monday but I’m working a little slower than usual so we’ll just have to wait and see how many get finished. We do have one more trip this year – to Virginia to celebrate Mom’s birthday.
Really pretty hourglass blocks. The yellow makes it pop, or rather, my eye sees them first.
Very pretty! That’s such a nice size block. I have a bunch of these blocks but mine are half that size, so I’ll need to just keep on making them for awhile yet. Mine are all trimmings from other blocks.
Congratulations, Mary! It’s a nice mix of colors. Happy quilting!
