Cookies!

Do you bake cookies?? I always make home made cookies in December … we call it Christmas Cookie Season around here. They’re yummy but not very fancy.

I was offered an opportunity to review Morgan Beck’s Royal Icing Cookies book from C&T Publishing and jumped at the chance to learn something new.

I’ve ordered some supplies from Amazon and have been studying. The book includes recipes for making the cookie dough and the icing along with unlimited ideas and instructions for some VERY creative cookies.

My plan is to start simple … how about some snowflake cookies?

I also thought that this was a fun idea – I can see myself painting Halloween cookies with the kids.

And which one of us wouldn’t like to bite into a quilt block?! With those simple square cookies, there are all kinds of opportunity for creativity.

While I don’t ever see myself creating the more intricate designs that Morgan does, she shares plenty of simple and creative ideas that I can see myself playing with.

If you’d like to win a digital copy of the book and have some fun with cookie decorating, leave a comment and I’ll draw a winner randomly on Friday morning.
