I went downstairs today intending to start a new string quilt but got sidetracked. I’d been talking with Nancy yesterday about a Town Square top she’d made for Quilts of Valor and decided I’d make a Town Square quilt. I got started and then thought about the advice Stephanie has given me on having some projects lined up for my post op period. Apparently my arms won’t work that well lifting and cutting so I decided I’d prep this one instead of finishing it. Blocks are all ready to assemble.
And since I didn’t sew the blocks … I had time to prep another one! Town Square is a pattern from Fabric Cafe. I don’t put the narrow borders on mine and I prefer a double fold binding to the one they use but it’s a great pattern for a fun novelty print.
Yesterday, I also got bindings on the last two tops quilted before I left for Virginia last month. Now I have 4 ready to hand stitch down during my post op period …. Another good suggestion from Stephanie!
Now that I’m into the prep work … I think I’ll get another one or two cut tomorrow. I’m thinking Happy Blocks … some Strippies … we’ll see what jumps out at me!
