Ripples

I finished the other two blankets I’ve been working on … although technically I guess they aren’t done since I haven’t woven the ends in yet but I needed to get another one started so tonight after my date night with Keith I got a Ripple going. I always think of my Aunts when I make a ripple since they crocheted many of them.

I stick to 3 different Ripple patterns.

This one is a simple one … found free on Ravelry at this link.

I’ve only done a few rows so far but I like using the Caron Big Cakes for this one.

Another favorite is the Rumpled Ripple – also found free on Ravelry at this link.

I like using the Lion Brand Mandala yarn for these.

And last but not least is the Woodland Ripple found free on Ravelry at this link.

I’ve only made this one with Caron Big Cakes but one of these days I’m going to try it with the Mandala yarn.

I only crochet easy blankets but I think they turn out pretty for most part and I love the idea of someone in need wrapping up in them and finding some warmth and comfort.
