Fat quarters

Our monthly challenge for January is Fat Quarters so I dug around in several bins … Fat Quarters and Jelly Rolls are my favorite precuts and I have lots of both of them.

I finally narrowed it down to 2 sets … thinking I was going to make my Easy Flock of Geese quilt.

But then I decided I wanted to go even easier and decided on making a St Louis 16 Patch quilt. I’ve done a number of these over the years and always like how they turn out. Here’s a link to the pattern I use.

It takes a while to load so you’ll have to be a bit patient.

I chose my bundle, paired them up and started making blocks.

After sewing a while, I needed a break so sat down with my knitting. I thought there was enough left in this skein to make this 2nd hat but I was wrong. Luckily, I have another skein here I can use to finish it up.
