In tribute to Bev

I lost a good friend last week and she will be missed dearly.

Bev was a member of my HeartStrings group and contributed to so much that we did over the years. I first met her in person in 2009 at the first Maine sew-in that she held. If you’ve followed me for a while you know those trips to Maine for the sew-ins are very special to me. I’m so grateful for her hosting them for many years and SO many quilts were collected, pieced, tied, quilted, and donated in Maine as a result with Bev doing LOTS of the work herself.

Many of the quilts were donated to Veterans and thanks to Brenda, we’re doing a project to honor Bev’s memory.

I think I’m going to start with a Sharon Inspired HeartStrings quilt. I chose the fabrics today and pulled the muslin out. I have to make some room first but the nice thing about this version is it doesn’t need to go on the design wall which is still tied up!

This was a version I finished in 2018
