Donation Day

I went by the local guild meeting this afternoon to drop off 5 quilts for donation. I wasn’t able to stay for the meeting because I had an appointment but they have a social period first so I knew I could drop in to say hi and give them the quilts.

I’ve been donating quilts through this guild since 2020 when we bought the house – I always like to donate some of my quilts locally when possible and they have always been very appreciative and happy to accept them and get them to those in need.

They made me an honorary guild member a little over a year ago and I was surprised to receive a gift today … Dianne had hoped to present it to me during the meeting but since I wasn’t able to stay she gave it to me before I had to leave. Isn’t this a gorgeous block?! I can’t wait to hang it up in my sewing room.

The rest of my day wasn’t as fun … I had just put on the hospital gown and started receiving my therapy when people started shouting and knocking on doors saying we had to get out of the building … there was a fire downstairs.

Luckily, it was put out quickly and no one was hurt but I’ll have to go back tomorrow for my treatment.

Finn and I had some downstairs time when I got home and all the 16 patch blocks are assembled. With any luck I’ll get the border on after my appointment tomorrow and get this one off the design wall where it’s been taking up space since November!

Tonight … I’ll sit and crochet while the Bolts play – I’m desperately hoping for a win tonight ⚡️⚡️⚡️
