I donated a stack of quilts today – 11 of them – and it felt good to move them along and on their way to those in need. I also loaded and quilted the Autumn Bricks top. Pantograph is Blowing Leaves.
I’m going to be saving up some bindings on these next few quilts to stitch down in August. I will be having surgery on the 6th of August – a bilateral mastectomy for breast cancer … yep, in the middle of all the other stuff I’ve got going on, I’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily it’s been caught early and I’m hoping there won’t be too much treatment required beyond surgery although I’m pretty sure they’ll be doing hormonal therapy. I’ll be referred to the oncologist after surgery so we’ll see what else will be required.
In the meantime, I’ve got another week here at home before we head back to Virginia. We’ll be there for 3 weeks and I’m looking forward to spending more time with Mom.
