I finished crocheting the Lemon peel blanket last night but there were 2 other ones waiting to have their ends woven in so the Linen Stitch blanket is the one that got finished today.

And now I’m going to start another one of these. They’re so easy to crochet they make the perfect project for me while we watch the Olympics. Once I get started no need to refer to the pattern.
My mother used to crochet by muscle memory. Her favorites were hexagonal medallions. She had the little book in her nightstand drawer, but it stayed in place after a few medallions. Intricate flowers and lace edges but she remembered.
She made lots of “quilt covers” which were bed spreads but they were not a tight enough pattern for her taste. Most were large enough for king beds. We had medallions in boxes for quilts. She bought special boxes so the thread wouldn’t change color.
