Leftovers

That bin of leftover novelty fabrics could keep me busy for a long time! I had some time downstairs before and after an appointment. After digging around in the bin … I decided on a monkey theme for today 🙂

And another little quilt top has been finished. Deciding how to use these leftovers can be a bit of a challenge but I’m happy with this one!

That’s 5 little tops finished and waiting for me to assemble backs and battings to kit them up for the next trip to VA … and as you can see behind them … those Rainbow HeartStrings are still waiting to be sashed.

I’ve also got one top on the longarm waiting to be quilted, one quilt waiting for the binding to be hand stitched, 2 chemo hats waiting for me to do the crown decreases, 2 blankets waiting for the yarn ends to be woven in, and a blanket and another chemo hat in progress …I think I have a lot to work on in the next couple weeks between all the appointments and family time scheduled!

Are you like me?? Feeling like you’ll never catch up on all that needs to be done?? I’m still trying to convince myself to take it one day at a time.

  1. I try not to be overwhelmed by all my UFOs, but I always have something I can’t wait to get back to. How can that be a bad thing?!?

  2. You will probably never achieve the one day at a time in simple peace, but a compromise sounds great..

The scraps are making fantastic quilt and critters combos. This one is so bright with cute animals and the monkey 🐒 is perfection.

  3. I always was feeling like I might never catch up, but now? With all the moving chaos around me the feeling is times 100. Like you, I’m trying to do one day at a time.
However, those “one” days seem to be racing by way too fast. Suddenly it is Saturday, again!
I must have blinked and missed the weekdays somehow.
You are making amazing progress in between everything else on your plate. Go you!

  4. Mary, I have following you for a very long time. You are just amazing with all the things you get done. I love those little quilts with the animals. I have looked around in southern Oregon & can’t find them. You have always inspired me🥰

  5. Your little critters and quilts make me smile every time. And catching up??? What is that again???:)

  6. I was going to organize my ufos and after pulling out a few stopped. It was too overwhelming to try and decide where I was and what I wanted to finish.
