Traffic was bad but we made it home safely … Finn was glad to see us and to cuddle up with me this evening.

Unlike Chesty who loved staying at Downtown Dogs in Minneapolis, Finn is always nervous when he’s boarded but does OK … I hate leaving him so for the most part we try to take him with us on trips but sometimes it’s not possible.
I’ll always remember how much they loved Chesty at Downtown Dogs thanks to the photos they took with him and the notes they wrote when we left Minneapolis.

Such a fun, funny name! We’re in the habit of adopting older dogs, so we rarely get to name one ourselves.
Lovely memo photos of Chesty. Just curious (can’t remember if I’ve asked before) does Finn always wear his harness, even in the house?
Dogs are very different. I have 2 Velcro dogs who won’t eat if I’m not there and so I can’t kennel them. We travel in an RV mainly because of their behavior. Dogs get attached. I have rescues also and that may account for their behavior.
YAY! Welcome home.
I sure wish boarding cats was humane. Finding sitters is NOT easy here unless one plans all travel a year in advance! I found a sitter for our February trip and her calendar was mostly full for nearly 2 years. The kittens love her! I cannot bear to kennel them in a 6ft cage which is what they do here with cats since they aren’t friendly like doggie daycare animals.
Happy Sunday to you and Keith.
I can picture how happy Finn was to have you home again. Finding good pet sitting situations can be a big challenge.
