Since I’m not home, I can’t celebrate this day in my usual way, working on a quilt to be donated to a veteran but I was happy Chris sent me this photo of Rae making poppies to plant in the National Cemetery near them to honor her great-grandfathers. What a special father/daughter activity!
When I get home, I’ll have to make sure I start a RWB quilt for donation.
EDIT:
I should have waited to post, he just sent me a photo from the cemetery.
My brother-in-law and nephew also went to Arlington National Cemetery to place flags to honor Keith’s Dad.
Those poppies are beautiful. She did a really good job on them.
What a wonderful commentary that your family honors their military members.
Rae did such a wonderful job making her pretty poppies. They are adorable. Love you family traditions. Also glad you can spend more time with your mother and sister. Enjoy what is left of this Memorial Day!
Wonderful photos! I love that your son encourages Rae to honor her ancestors who served in the military.
So precious!
