I said I was going to crochet tonight and I did. I had a nice chat with Mom and then listened to my audiobook while I worked on the corner to corner blanket. It’s been a while since I started this one and I had to refresh my memory on how to do it but it’s really easy so a couple minutes watching the video and I was back at work. Not all patterns look good in variegated yarns but I’m liking how this is working up.

Yes, this variegated yarn is perfect. It looks soft too. Recently I went to a baby shower and took handmade receiving blankets, a crochet baby blanket and a small baby quilt for my soon to be great great niece. I was very surprised at all the remarks made over the handmade items. I would love to make this but after reading the pattern I think I’ll stick to extra simple ones.
It is just beautiful, looks so soft.
I love making C2C afghans – once you get the method into your head it’s pretty simple. I usually use variegated yarn alternating with solids – it can be more complicated to figure out yardage requirements, but it makes a fun afghans for the charity that I make them for.
It’s looking great in that yarn! C2c it such a relaxing stitch.
