The Dino 9 patch is bound. I didn’t realize I was a little short of a yard of the dinosaur fabric until I’d already started making the 9 patch blocks so I improvised. The too narrow piece of dinosaur fabric went across the top of the quilt and the extra pieces of the 9 patch blocks went across the bottom. Kind of weird but not too bad and I might intentionally try a 9 patch quilt with a novelty strip at the top like this one again but without the extra squares at the bottom.
This is also a UFO finish, my 5th UFO finish for the year.

Looks like you planned it this way. I like the demo strip across the top.
I quite like both the “extra” strips, plus no leftovers is always satisfying!

I like the way you made it work! I don’t think I ever would have thought of it but I will from now on!! Thanks, Mary!
I think it is terrific!
Finished is better than perfect. Good save, Mary!!
And that is called creativity which is one of your major abilities.
I love it that way! Including the bottom row. it is just wonderful.
Oh, and happy birthday too.
What a terrific idea! It really dresses up the quilt. I need to save this idea!
I never would have thought of that! Very creative thinking, I think it looks great!
