Finished

The Dutchman Puzzle quilt is done. I got the binding on this afternoon and then hand stitched it down after Finn and Keith went to bed. It’s #3 bound in August.

I’ve got an appointment tomorrow so while I’m “in town” I’ll visit the library rather than making a second trip later in the week.

I also started working on a second fleece quillow today. I do a blanket stitch around the edge … not sure where I saw that years ago when I made my first one but I like it because it gives some definition to the edge of the fleece. I’m thinking I want to do some simple appliqué on the pocket of this one but we’ll see how it goes.

Also on this week’s agenda … quilting 3 more tops and more binding.

  1. I love bright colors. This one is eye candy for me. I’ve done the blanket stitch on fleece. Works well, as you say, to set off the edges. They make great baby gifts. No babies in my life in ages. So this was a nice reminder.

  2. I really like this quilt. Obviously it’s because of all the bright fabrics, but I think even in colors of black, gray and white it would outstanding.
