Finished

I’d hoped to get another top quilted today – that didn’t happen but I did make progress. I got the binding on the Strips and Strings Log Cabin quilt and hand stitched it down tonight.

I also finished the last Strips and Strings rail fence blocks and they are ready to assemble but I’m thinking I won’t get to that for a while. Mom’s been sick and I’m going to drive up to VA on Sunday to see her … and then drive back home Thursday to get ready for our anniversary trip to Maine. The next couple weeks will be busy.

I love having knit and crochet projects to work on when I can’t be sewing … I’ve made a good start on the new blanket … a simple ripple afghan and that will come with me to VA!

  1. Hope Mom gets well quickly. She’s such a lively person, with all those quilts she makes. The log cabin quilt has great colors.

  2. I will hold your mother in my prayers. I always enjoy when you speak and show pictures of her. Travel safely tomorrow, we are in the path of the eclipse and they are already warning us to stay off the roads due to heavy traffic.

  3. Prayers for your mother’s recovery. I always enjoy your posts that include tidbits about your lovely family. Have a safe trip tomorrow.

  4. So glad you can go see your mom at this time. Prayers that she will feel better soon. I’m sure your being there will help. Lovely quilt today too.

  5. Safe travels and hope your mum gets well soon. I like your blog very much and love to hear about your family and your patchwork and quilting.
