I sewed

The hardest part of a move for me is not being able to sew until I get set up. After I saw Mom today, I stopped by Walmart and picked up an iron … and I sewed.

I also got the kitchen finished … dishes are all washed and put away.

Finn needs a little more attention right now … but that’s OK, it was nice to sit and read a bit too. He has to adjust to hearing other people nearby that comes with apartment living.

  1. I know Mom is glad to have you nearby. You two make such a great team when she is able to sew.

  2. His life has been totally turned upside down and he doesn’t have the ability to understand why. I think he is doing great.

    I love the new top.

    Time with mom – priceless!

  3. I’m glad this move is going so well for you. Looks like your sewing is moving on. Finn is a handsome boy, you tell him I said so.

  4. Nothing soothes the soul more than sitting down at a sewing machine and doing a simple project. I have a feeling you will have all of your kitted up projects complete in no time. Furniture comes tomorrow so no more bag chairs and camping cots! You’re a trooper.

  5. You’re a great daughter and Keith is a wonderful SIL to move to Virginia. I imagine that your Mom really appreciates it. I know I would not regret moving, I did some part time care giving for the last years of my parents lives.

  6. Life seems to be gently moving forward. You probably appreciate being near your mom as much as she does.

  7. I’m sure your apartment will feel more like a home rather than a hotel room as you gradually get things set up. Especially the sewing room. That would be the important thing to unpack for me to feel at home. Finn must be a pretty good little traveler and will settle in quickly I’m sure.

  8. I’m in need of a new iron so I’ll ask if you mind sharing which one you chose.
