How is the foot coming along? And more importantly, how is your mom? She continues in my prayers along with yourself. I love the colors in this afghan. It shows that sometimes simple is the best.
The ripple blankets always make me think of my mom. That was her favorite crochet pattern, and there are still some new ones in a bin in my basement even though she’s been gone over 30 years. After she passed I gave dozens of them away to friends, neighbors, relatives, donated some, and kept a bunch. They are so soft and warm.
My mom was a multi tasker with crochet after my brother died. She would sit and carry on a conversation and crochet at the same time. Very few mistakes and heavy lace products. She couldn’t just sit and chat. Do you take knitting or crocheting when you visit your mom? Are you planning more bear quilts?
