This week’s top is done. At the last minute, I tossed some blue and neutral fat quarters in the bin going to VA for a 16 Patch quilt. I was afraid it would be kind of bland …

But I’m happy with how it turned out.

I’ve made a number of these larger 16 patch quilts over the years from fat quarters and use the cutting instructions found at the link below. The original blog is no longer available but for now, the instructions are still available.

It takes a while to load so you’ll have to be a bit patient.
It says the blog has been removed. I was just wondering what size block you used?
I wondered the same thing after reading the message that the blog has been removed. I suppose you could use any size block you wanted but that size seemed nice to use with left over fat quarters. It’s a very pretty quilt.
Try it again – I was able to get on after a few hours. I just now tried it again and it still works.
Nope. Still says no blog. I’ll try again in the morning. Thanks for the info that it may eventually come through.
Not bland at all, Mary! I may need to finally give the method a try this coming month. I’m trying to make at least one donation top for every color during the Rainbow Scrap Challenge this year. I’ve been using the Jumbo Jelly Roll Race recipe from Jasmine at Quilt Kisses, but changed it up this month so I might continue with mixing things up. Thanks for the inspiration!
blue and white always a winning duo
I love your blue and neutral quilt. I am now making your Framed Rectangles quilt in turquoise and brown for my husband. I forced myself to finish an appliqued quilt, which I hated doing, in order to start this one. It is so fun to do. I am obsessed. Thank you for the pattern.
I love it! You do such beautiful work! Thank you for all the time you have put into your blog and sharing all these wonderful patterns with us! I just want you to know that it is greatly appreciated!
Hi Mary, so glad I downloaded the tutorial when it was originally posted. Found the new version at https://www.skbquilting.com/tutorials . Hope this helps some of your readers
