I walked around the apartment complex yesterday and today we went back to the arboretum. There are all kinds of nooks and crannies and benches in addition to the walking paths. It really is well done.

On the way home, Keith stopped at the 7-11 … I grew up in VA and always loved me a Slurpee but they don’t have 7-11’s in any of the other places we’ve lived and I’ve been saying I was going to stop and get me one since I started coming up here in April when Mom got sick and I finally did.

Keith is more ambitious than I am so he headed to the gym when we got home and Finn and I headed to the porch where I sipped my Slurpee and cooled down.

We’ve got quite the busy social life here … plans to meet up with my brother and his wife for dinner out tonight. Maybe I’ll find time to sew a block or two today … getting close to finishing the blocks on the Charm Square quilt … 15 minutes plus here and there adds up.
Boy you are aiming at overachieving today. And top it all off with a slurpee! Keep up the good thongs.
Your ‘slurpee’ looks like our ‘slushie’ 🙂
It’s good to hear that you are keeping busy!
In Baltimore thy have a thing with a slurpee like drink with soft ice cream floating in it, usually root beer or cola “slurpee”. Awesome if you are trying to gain a few pounds!

You can get a free Slurpee on Thursday, 7/11! They do this every year.
I love your 15-minute mindset! It’s been filed away for this chickie-pooh too!
No 7/11s in my area, so I’ve never had a Slurpee. I bet they’re good.
Love the statue in the pic. Looks like Keith? Just kidding. You are really busy. Try to rest, too.
In Ark., we called those ice cream floats, or Coke-floats.
When we lived in Newport News, whenever my hubby took the children bike riding (near The Battlefield), they’d always stop for Slurpees at the 7-11.
