Date Night

Our clubhouse is closed for renovations for a year but luckily they’ve opened up a bistro on one of the other lakes and we dined there tonight.

The weather is gorgeous and neither one of us miss being in Tampa ESPECIALLY tonight!!

After Keith and Finn went to bed I went downstairs to sew for just a little bit. Our precut challenge this month is fat quarters and after some back and forth … I decided on an enlarged version of my Easy Flock of Geese. These blocks are 8 inches finished and SO easy to cut and sew with my Accuquilt GO.

The 8 inch HST die is from Blue Wren but it works with my GO Big which is great. Yes, it’s a bit more of a challenge to order dies from Australia but worth it when they have the ones I want and Accuquilt doesn’t.

  1. Oooo! I’m liking those colors, Mary. I’m also glad you’re not in Fla. Those folks have sure gotten the worst imaginable luck. And hurricane season is just beginning.

  2. Me likie the HST’s. Beautiful. Watched a 2 hr movie then started watching “MILTON”. My
daughter and son-in-law live in Weeki Wachee. They decided to stay in their house so it
was not an enjoyable ‘show’. But all is well with them.

  3. Love those colours. That lake view is stunning. I’m watching the weather news every day – so sad what’s happening at the mo with all those hurricanes. Glad you are safe 🙂

  4. Looks like a nice place to enjoy a night out. Helene and Milton aftermath images are frightening. I know you’re glad to be out of harm’s way.

  5. Looks like a lovely spot for a dinner date. We had a dinner date last night with friends, and it was nice enough to sit on the rooftop patio at the restaurant. Unusually warm for October in SD. But we ended up inside as the rooftop was packed already with everyone else trying to enjoy one last warm evening. LOL

  6. I have thought about you so many times during this hurricane event threatening Tampa. I’m so glad you’re happy, warm and dry in Georgia. I’m praying like crazy for all the hurricane/tornado victims.

  7. I still consider this a favorite quilt I made even if it was not what I wanted it to be. The young gentleman who got it loves it. Can’t wait to see this one.
