Downstairs time

I started my day chauffeuring Keith to Marietta. He has a business trip tomorrow and can’t drive to the airport and we’d talked Chris into helping out. So we met for lunch first.… that meant I only had to drive an hour there and an hour back. And Chris took him to the hotel by the airport where he’ll spend the night and then head off in the morning to Denver. It was very nice of Chris to help!

On the way home, I stopped in at a couple Dollar General stores … Nancy from my HeartStrings group had posted that she’d found some cute animals in the Valentine’s aisle so of course, I had to check it out and I picked up a few.

After making myself work a bit on assembling the 16 patch quilt – half the rows are sewn together – I pulled my novelty scrap bin and started cutting some 16.5 inch squares for Mom to make some more little quilts. I also pulled some leftover flannel and batting pieces to take to her.

Then I got one of my little ones pin basted and ready for quilting.

  1. You have restocked some really cute stuffies for the doll quilts. I’m hoping to add one doll quilt per month to the donation box, with a doll or animal. The smiles all around when you meet up with those girls – totally worth the hour drive.

  2. Good you got to spend time with your lovely granddaughters. Those stuffed animals are so cute. You are looking well. I’m so glad. You surely accomplish a lot in a day.
