Vacation (for me)

It’s a working trip for Keith but vacation for me. Since we’re an hour and a half from the airport and ATL traffic and airport are both crazy, we spent the night at a nearby hotel.

We’d planned a family dinner with the boys and kids joining us … Adam lives on one side of Atlanta and Chris on the other side and the airport is in between…. but Adam and Bree had colds and Rae had a fever. I’m very susceptible to infection now because of my meds and have to be careful so it was just the two of us for dinner.

I got an early start on the wine drinking … looking forward to Napa Valley!

  1. Welcome to CA! I visited Napa at Christmas with relatives but just for a few hours. We went to a wine tasting at a bar named “Quilts” – a beautiful space. Dress warmly and enjoy your vacation.

  2. Enjoy every minute of your trip. Keith looks disappointed not to have the sons and grandkids joining you for dinner. I’ve become a bit paranoid of getting sick ever since the heart issues began in November. I moved to different seats at a recent swim meet (granddaughters) because the man behind me kept coughing. Stay healthy!!

  3. Wow, you’ll be kind of in our neck of the woods. We’re in Glen Ellen, in Sonoma County, adjacent to Napa County. Supposed to rain on Wednesday, but then things will warm up Thursday through next week. How long are you out here?

  4. We just returned from 32 days in Phoenix. I had a bad cold then pneumonia then we both had influenza then I got a bad reaction to the tamaflu, possibly because the antibiotics for pneumonia was still in my system. Crazy time. Be careful.
