Unfortunately most of my day was devoted to tax prep but before and after … I did sneak in the sewing room and pieced two little quilts for our HeartStrings project.
This first one … a Little Strippie Quilt. You’d think I would have thought of this myself but nope, Ann from my HeartStrings group made a bunch of little strippies inspired by my Quick Strippie quilts and as soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to make some too.
This one measures about 24 x 26 inches

I found some orphan blocks a few weeks ago … they are very old and I don’t remember even making most of them and there were some brown and tan 4 patch blocks in the baggie.
So I pulled a novelty print and pieced this one this afternoon. The 4 patches were 5.5 inches with seam allowances so this one measures 25 inches square.

I finally finished our taxes today. Glad to get it done. Now I can get back to some fun stuff, like quilting.
OK – that miniature version of the Strippie is very clever and so cute. I may have to try that too. Thanks for continuing inspiration shares!
I just love the little quilts. Once I get over my shoulder surgery I will start on the little quilts project. Thanks for sharing yours. P.S I think your mother is a sweetheart. Blessings Diane
I love your mini Strippie! I have one cut and ready to sew. It’s a little different layout, but I think it will work. The second quilt gives me a solution to working with some other fabrics I have. May I please use your idea?
Glad you managed some sewing time in the midst of tax prep, Mary!
Love both the quilts. You must be happy to finish those adorable quilts.
