We made it halfway home and I’m thankful Keith insisted on me driving it in 2 days since he wasn’t going to be with me … construction, heavy traffic, rain … I was ready to stop after 4 hours.
You might not agree but since Finn pays $75 for his stay in addition to the charge for me … he thinks it’s OK for him to sleep on the bed 🙂

Looking forward to getting home tomorrow and I’m hoping the drive is a little easier!
Oh my goodness. Finn deserves to sleep on the bed at that extra high charge. I am glad you broke up the drive. Four-five hours is about my endurance too. I thought of you and your little quilts in visiting the Joann Fabric sales today. I cannot wait to get started. Safe travels.
I think it is perfectly wonderful for Finn to snooze on the bed! You’ve more than paid for his right to enjoy a comfy bed, too! Safe travels for the rest of your journey home.
I think that was a smart move to break up the trip, especially considering the weather. We’re having rain, hale and high winds moving through the Eastern Panhandle of WV. I believe your little travel buddy deserves some extra comfort, too. Safe travels the rest of the way tomorrow.
Wow! I didn’t realize the pet fees were so steep! Best of luck with the final leg of our journey home tomorrow, Mary.
I used to take my cat with us after she got to an age where she needed care throughout the day and the 75 dollars was well worth it.
The construction and the rain are pretty awful. It seems I can’t get too far before the orange signs appear. The rain has been sprinkling, not a downpour. Yes, Finn can sleep wherever he wants. Be safe driving.
Yay for going with safety and lucky Finn his keepers can accommodate him 😉 I’m willing to drive 8h but it is draining at ae 64 while it was not 20y ago! Dang calendar 🤣
Safe travels! I’m glad you have Finn for company and YES he does deserve to sleep on the bed.
I’m sure Finn is much cleaner than some things that are put on hotel bed spreads…. And yes, those ads that say a hotel is “pet friendly” mean they are willing to take your money. Glad you made it home, and I agree with everyone else, breaking up the trip with an over nighter is well worth it!
