  1. SR Harris has a more “normal” store in Burnsville, too. Much easier to shop, and you won’t be afraid of a fabric avalanche. And the dust!

  2. DD, who lives in Mpls, also sent me the article. Clearly the next time I visit, I’ll have to go there. Like I need more fabric!

  3. Mary, go to the Burnsville store. I have found a lot of Craftsy kits and Boundless fabric there. Great prices and not as overwhelming as the big store.

  4. The store in Brooklyn Park is overwhelming, but definitely worth a trip to evaluate for yourself. I could spend hours (and thousands of dollars there).

  5. Plan a day. I first went to a branch on the way out of town to the west in the 1990s when I started quilting. I could not get enough. I have not been to this location but in about 2012 I was disappointed with the Burnsville location and preferred to hit the quilt shops. My friends went on a bus trip from central Iowa and were agog and came back with loads that looked like my initial trip. Fabric heaven.

  6. Oh yes – SR Harris is FUN!! I haven’t been there in the past couple of years however, but sure had fun there when I was on a road trip with a couple of girlfriends.

  7. My husband will tell me that I have too much fabric and then take me to a large fabric store about 40 or 50 miles from here and find fabrics I will like.

  8. A friend sent me a bunch of Craftsy kits for donation quilts. She got some great buys at the Burnsville store.
