Clean up

I’d planned to quilt the top I’d loaded on the longarm yesterday but the weather forecast called for severe thunderstorms and I didn’t want to get started and have to stop in the middle of quilting it … so I went into the sewing room to clean up and organize all the little quilt supplies and set them aside for now. I’ll pull them out again at the end of the month to organize projects to work on in VA during our June trip.

Then, I messed everything up again! Pulling out a bunch of string bins and getting started on the Log Cabin Heart top.

  1. That is known as quilting. Recently I did the big clean up and I cleaned so well I put all 24 quilt tops for baby quilts away in in project boxes but one quilt back and binding ended up in the wrong box. 2 days later I needed to quilt the top that didn’t have a backing or binding with it. Some of the tops got wrinkled and had to be repressed and the room was a disaster again.

  2. That’s your reward for all your work of cleaning and organizing: you can put your hands on exactly the pieces you want, and you have a nice, clean area in which to play with them!
