Quilted

My goal is to quilt one of the waiting tops every week I’m home but I always seem to underestimate how busy I’ll be when we first get back – I did not get one quilted last week so The Cat Happy block top was quilted today to make up for missing last week!

Pantograph is Dollop

I have several Happy Block instructions on the website. My HeartStrings group has been making these for years.

We started out with a completely scrappy version like these that were assembled at one of our MN/WI sew-ins in 2009.

This scrappy version is great for using up all those leftover bits of Novelty fabrics and fun for the kids I think looking at all the different fabrics.

More recently in the last several years, we’ve also been making these 3 fabric versions like the one I quilted today.

Which ever one you choose, they make great donation quilts and you can find some brief instructions on my website at this link.

  1. Cat Happy looks good. (The) Dollop panto pattern has elements that mimic the cats’ curling tails. I never get tired of the variety of Happy Blocks.

  2. Your quilt is really nice, I love the panto. All the colorful quilts show how everyone can make a quilt out of anything they have. I love the diversity.

  3. Very cute! The Happy block is one I’ve chosen a couple of time to use those adorable novelty prints.
