Quilted

Yes, I still make scrappy quilts! They’re my favorites although I do make a lot of quick and easy quilts for donation … I have a lot of stash to use up!

This is one of my favorite scrap quilts … a simple Hourglass quilt.

I had a lazy morning and then quilted the Hourglass top … then thought why not go kayaking again – So I did!! This is the little lake but it has the advantage of having the pool, beach … and the beer! 🍺

Lake Disharoon holds lots of memories for me … we used to walk across one of these bridges to go to the swim club and across the other one to go hiking. I loved the Condo we had here for 12 years and it was great to walk out our door to swim or hike … but the house we have now, while it doesn’t have the same walk ability, is much more suited to full time living … or should I say part time now since we’re running back and forth to Va a lot these days.

  1. I’d love to kayak but there aren’t many lakes here. And of course I’m almost 80 now. So glad you can enjoy all the benefits of living where you do.

  2. You sound so happy with the kayaking and the fact that you are gaining confidence shines through your smile. The quilt is of course wonderful. Colors are fantastic.
