Mom and I had a very nice blueberry pancake brunch but when I got home and decided to go to work in the sewing room … things just didn’t want to go my way.
I love it when Stephanie pulls 3 yard (3 fabric) quilts from the hat for our monthly challenge. Our HeartStrings group is focused on making and donating quilts so 3 fabric quilts are quick and easy.
However, your 3 fabrics need to work together perfectly. I’d decided to make an 16 patch and alternate it with a print fabric … it didn’t work.
So I cut a few squares from this farm fabric and made a little quilt. It’s still not perfect … but I just didn’t want to waste those 16 patches!

And … since I had a few Novelty squares left from piecing my Happy block top … I whipped up a little quilt using those too.

Hopefully, my fabric choices tomorrow will work better. I’m a little limited here without my stash BUT I had the perfect color thread today thanks to the new purchases.

Those little quilts look great. I love your fabric choices. Very colorful for children.
To me, those checkerboard blocks look pretty darned good with that cute print! Betcha’ this quilt makes a little one nice and cuddly.
love them both – but you know the green one appeals to me the most haha!! love that farm print!!
