It’s Fall so it’s hat knitting season – I’ve only got a few days before I head to Maine for the HeartStrings sew-in so I cast on a hat to work on during the flights.
I’m starting with some guy hats … thinking I might be able to get some done and send them in for the Knots of Love Veteran’s cap drive but if not, I will donate locally.

I’ve got an appointment tomorrow … and have unpacking, laundry, and repacking to do also. I did gather up the supplies I use to tie quilts at the sew-in so I can check that off my list.
Now I’m waiting for them to call me to pick up Finn … they should be done grooming him any minute!
You used to always show beauty shots after a grooming.
Love that Heartland yarn- it gets even softer after you wash it. Safe Travels!

The yarn for the hats is pretty! Have a safe trip and a wonderful time in Maine.
My daughter had the yarn out again when I stopped at her house recently – for some hat crocheting. She and her daughter donated a bunch of hat and scarves last spring to a couple of agencies in Sioux Falls. She also had some hats on her rummage sale in August and said a man came and bought them all to donate to the local VA.
I have been working on hats for the last few weeks. My town has a clothing pantry and a hat and scarf drive every fall.
