My Owls and Rails top is quilted but it wasn’t easy. I get tachycardia with even the slightest effort. So it took twice as long to quilt this as it should as I have to quilt a row … rest and let my heart rate come down … quilt a row … rest and let my heart rate come down … and repeat until the quilt was done!

But it’s done! Funny, Keith came down while I was quilting and said “that’s a nice one, did someone send it to you” or maybe it’s not funny that he thinks if he likes one that someone else made it. He’s not a big fan of scrappy quilts like I am so this 3 fabric one was to his liking.

Is the heightened heart rate because of the physical element, or the stress of trying to stay on the line, or a combo of both?
I’m frankly pleased whenever my husband notices any quilt I’m working on!

It’s a lovely quilt, but don’t risk your health trying to finish it, or any other quilt. Your heart was telling you to take it easy.
I am happy to hear you are being patient and resting often. I understand the frustration you are experiencing cing but know you are taking care of yourself.
Poor Keith he is trying so hard to try to spend his extra time paying attention to your interests. I give him an A for effort.

The quilt is lovely,i never had problems with my hand untill I started hand stitching but I luv the look do I tell it ok you rest but it’s gonna happen 🤣
Please rest and don’t push yourself. You are going through a difficult time. My husband also does not understand scrappy quilts. When I am sewing small pieces together to make a crumb quilt, he will say you have so much beautiful material and you’re working on that. But each piece is a memory of another quilt I made.
Hopefully you don’t push yourself too quickly. As a nurse I know that you don’t need my advice. But we all just want you to take good care of yourself. This quilt turned out very cute. Love that tree print.
