I’m making progress on everything but nothing is finished right now so I’ll share the results of my critter hunting today.
I found last year that Valentine’s Day and Easter were the best times of the year to find my critters at Dollar General so I ran in this afternoon after Keith and I had our visit to the local coffee shop and found a few.
I like to cut the hearts and ribbons off of these … just a personal preference. It’s nice that this year’s critters are different from last year’s too because I like to donate a variety in each batch.
Of course, this means I need to find some time to work on little quilts to wrap them in too!!

Love that you found some great critters!
What cuties these are Mary. Any of them will be sure to be well cuddled.
I was in Dollar Tree and saw some also. I immediately thought about you and your critters. These are very different from what you had before, someone in charge ordered from a different vendor. A child will love these.
Oh my – those are really cute critters. You’ve been my inspiration on these. The Dollar Tree closest to me closed between Thanksgiving and Christmas so I’ll have to visit a different store. Our grocery store had some cute ones last spring for Easter and I have a couple of them left in the closet. I have 4 little quilt tops ready to quilt.
I love seeing the different critters, especially when you’ve matched them up with a mini quilt 🙂
You are such a wonderful person. I’m sure these will provide so much pleasure in dark times.
Cuties
Critter hunting!oh what fun! Love your finds really really cute!!!
I purchased about 6 little critters late last year from $Tree but haven’t gotten the quilts ready yet. Had a hip replacement Monday so it will be a couple of weeks. I did use up a lot of my 2.5 inch squares for 4 patches so I should have enough to put together for 1 quilt. You also twisted my arm to get some yarn for hats. We have an Uplift center in town that is a homeless center during the winter months. I am also in a quilting group that meets 2 afternoons a month at the Firehouse so I’m sure they would like the critters. Love all the projects you complete and donate. Your post is the first that I open EVERY day.
