I’m working on that bin of leftover hat yarn. Some of the skeins will have enough for a second hat like this one … some will be paired up with other skeins of the same yarn/color. And some go to the leftover yarn bin.
This is just a simple beanie … made a little larger than the pattern but basically good for a child or teen.

I’m thinking one of these days I might need to make some squares for Warm up America. Years ago I made them and then assembled them into a blanket myself to donate.

But this leftover one is much prettier I think. Somewhere I bought some black yarn thinking I would make another one of these one day.

Anyway, the yarn that can’t be used for another hat will go into the leftover yarn bin and will be used one day … hopefully!
Time to pick a skein for the next hat.

Red hats are so fun. It will bring joy to someone.
