I pulled coordinating fabrics for the Strippies I’m going to kit up for Mom. She worries about taking too much of my fabric but she has seen my stash so she shouldn’t worry about that!
These are packed up and I’ll cut them when we’re in VA.
Our February HeartStrings challenge is scraps … I thought I might get a new quilt started but the month is flying by so I don’t know if I will but … I did pull out the bin with the Rainbow HeartStrings blocks and tossed 35 on the design wall. I’ll want change a few around but hopefully this will be assembled before the end of the month and will meet February’s challenge.
The blocks will be sashed with a gray fabric and bright cornerstones. I’ll need to cut some more 2.5 inch squares.
Speaking of stash … Chris is giving me a hard time about my yarn stash now but you guys see how many hats and blankets are being made … so I feel fine about replacing yarn that’s being used 🙂

Mom may need a visit to a LQS so she knows for sure there is more fabric to be purchased 🤣🤣

He got the concern from Mo. She needs to see the number of hats and blankets you donated last year. Is that replacement yarn? Tell her you get x number of quilts or x number of blankets from a skein that size.

You’ve put your stash to good use for many years. No worries. The fabrics you’re taking to your mom are so bright and happy. Kids will love them!
My husband tells me on a regular basis that my stash of fabric will outlive me especially when a package of fabric arrives. I am a sale shopper and pretty fabric shopper and just a shopper in general.
My husband is a wood worker and has a stash of wood for future projects. I encourage wood buying, he encourages fabric buying, it’s all good.

Those colors you pulled are so pretty. A child will be so happy. I have so much stash that when I die a friend and my sister are to back up pickups in my driveway and haul it away to their stashes. They both make quilts of valor and my sister makes quilts for hospice too.
