Brenda found some cute critters on sale at Walmart and of course I had to go to mine to see if there were any for sale there … I didn’t find critters for $4 but I did fall in the middle of the store. A small ball had been dropped and I was pushing a cart and didn’t see it … twisted my ankle and fell in the middle of the isle. Keith had gone off to the bathroom and came back to find me on the floor.
I think it’s just sprained this time and not broken … of course it’s the bad ankle. Timing sucks as I had things I wanted to get done in the sewing room this week but I’ll need to rest and elevate it for a couple days. I need to dig out the ankle splint too. I don’t think the boot is needed.
The staff got me a cart to use and an ice pack which was nice of them.

I am so sorry Mary you did not need that. Do take care of yourself. You are always in my thoughts and prayers.
oh Mary, I’m so sorry to hear this. It seems to me that when you have something like an ankle or wrist that’s a little bummed, it just has a hard time going back to normal. I guess with you sitting around, there’s going to be more knitting and crochet? Take care, Mary
Oh come on already!!!! I’m hoping that is laughter on your face and not crying. Take care!
Oh my goodness that is terrible. I am hoping ice and elevation takes care of the ouchy. You are in my prayers.
Oh no – just when you were feeling better! How frustrating for you!
Oh my lord what a thing to happen, just when you are beginning to feel better. I will continue as usual to include you in my prayers.
Well crap! May ice/elevate be your bestest friends this week-right behind Keith 🙂
Oh no! We are going to have to put you in bubble wrap for a while! Hope your ankle is feeling better soon.
Yikes, so sorry to hear about your fall! I worry a lot about falling and places with stuff all over the floor are such a hazard. Hope you start to feel recovered, ice/elevation/heat/rest, etc.

At least you can laugh at your latest predicament – you’ll be making a dent in your wool stash anyway 🙂
So sorry…..hope it feels better soon.
Oh Mary, I am so sorry to hear that you fell. Please rest and ice. I’m sure you will be busy with yarn though.
I am so sorry you’re going through this. “Fall” is a dirty four-letter word at our age. I sure hope it heals quickly. You have more interesting things to do!
Oh gosh, I hope you are OK! At least you kept your sense of humor. I guess tripping in a WalMart does require a sense of humor.
“Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.”

So sorry this happened. All the best.
Oh no Mary thankfully you weren’t worse, nothing broken hopefully, hope you heal fast.
Take Care!
