Yep, Keith let me do some critter hunting the other day even after my fall in Walmart. He stopped at a couple Dollar Generals while we were out and let me hobble in to see what they had.
The first one … a sale on Valentine critters. Those Pink bears are probably too big for the typical Little Quilts but I can always make a couple that are a little larger if needed.
And at the 2nd Dollar General … some Easter critters!
You might wonder why I spend so much effort critter hunting when I still have bins and bags of them … I like using a variety of critters in each batch of donations and I like to have lots to chose from.
Well, it looks like you got some really cute critters this time. I like the variety of your Easter animals. Reminds me spring is coming, finally.
Check at Target. Our local Target has a section with seasonal items that are anywhere from $1 to $5. They had bunnies and dinosaurs at ours for $3. I’m not sure if they are size you want but work great for what I need them for. I give local sheriffs department a small quilt and stuffie to give out when they come across a child in a distressed situation
You want to have the perfect critter for each quilt.
