Scraps

Our challenge this month was scraps and I intended to get that Rainbow HeartStrings top assembled to meet the challenge but that didn’t happen … those blocks are still on the design wall waiting for me to cut cornerstones and sashing and sew it all together … and it will wait until I get back from VA now.

I wanted to kit up a few Little Quilts for Mom to work on along with the Quick Strippies so after my cardiology appointment this afternoon I stole a little time downstairs.

I’m going to cut these borders in VA after Mom chooses the ones she wants for each of these.

I also decided I’d dig in a couple scrap bins and pull fabric for a little quilt to meet our Feb Scap Challenge.

I got it cut this afternoon …

… And pieced it tonight. It might not look “scrappy” but all the fabric except for the binding came from those 2 scrap bins and I dug through the critter bins to find my only elephant to pair up with it!

It’s just a little quilt but it felt good to be in the sewing room and making some progress on my to do list.
