Piecing time

I had a couple hours downstairs in the sewing room today and got myself organized to start a RWB Rectangle quilt. I’m starting with a Jelly Roll but will end up adding strips from stash for more variety.

I have to give credit to Stephanie … Jelly Rolls were our March challenge and I’d already given up because I knew I couldn’t finish a top before the end of the month. She said the month wasn’t over and suggested I go with a RWB theme for our project.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to make a change but in this case she was right – it doesn’t matter if I don’t finish the top in March … I still had time to get started.

I finished 18 blocks today … still haven’t decided if I’m going to make 48 blocks and put a border on it or make 63 blocks and go without. Right now I’m leaning toward the border.

And there will be a Little Quilt from the leftover ends of the strip sets!

After my downstairs time, Keith got me out for a walk!

  1. I love this pattern as I have 2 solid jelly rolls I’ve never knew what to make and several white jelly rolls. These look so easy for me. You are looking good Mary.

  2. You look great! Just a reminder to take it easy on yourself with what you accomplish. Treat yourself like you would treat a dear friend with kindness and remind her that she has been through a difficult time, because that is what you are too many of us.

  3. Yay for a good walk! I’m just getting back to regular exercise since my sprained ankle in December and my back problem from a month ago. I’ve really lost some leg strength in a few months!

  4. Looking wonderful Mary! I love those fabrics -do you know what line that is? I see the name Indiana on one square.
