After an overnight stay in Bristol VA, I made it to the apartment this afternoon.
The drive from home to Bristol wasn’t that bad but I was sure ready for a break after just 5 and a half hours.

Today, I just had another 3 and a half hours to drive but I was tired after being unable to get much sleep last night – just couldn’t turn the brain off so hoping tonight is better.
After unloading the car and running to a nearby grocery store for a few items, it was time to get that leg elevated … but I was ready to do some work too so out came the crochet. I’m loving the colors in this one and hope to finish it while I’m up here. I’m about halfway done or maybe just a little more.

After a while, I was ready for some sewing. It’s very easy here with the boot because the sewing room is right beside the living room – no stairs!

Just a simple grid quilted on this little one and it’s now trimmed and ready for binding.
It felt great getting some work done and I’m looking forward to spending time with Mom tomorrow.
Hope you’re able to get a good night’s rest.
Happy you are safely there and getting busy with sewing and crocheting.
Have a wonderful trip with your Mom. I know you both love quilting together.
Safe travels.
Have a great visit with your Mom. Glad you were able to go and that you managed the drive.
I missed the earlier posts about your mishap and break. I hope you have a swift recovery. Happy to hear you’re going to spend some time with your Mom – Enjoy!
Glad you made it there safely! Get some rest. The new crochet blanket is so pretty!
those colors are indeed very pretty…sorry about your ankle…these mishaps tend to come in bunches sometimes….ick
Wow, 5 hours sounds like a long drive so soon after a bone breaking fall! You are intrepid. And your crochet blanket looks just like spring color-wise.
Cheers, and rest that leg!
