Drawstring bags

One of the nice things about having my projects on my MaryQuilts.com website is that I can refer back to them myself as well as sharing them with you!

Today I finished trimming up the RWB HeartStrings blocks and then worked on another little project. Making some drawstring bags. It’s been a while so I was glad to have my instructions on the website to refer to.

Three bags finished and I can check that off the to do list.

  1. Lovely bags and nice tutorial Mary. I’ve made some this way before but I sewed down the folded edges so they don’t catch when closing with the string 🙂

  2. mom sent me to 4-H at age 8 and a drawstring bag was our first project!! mine was lavender….

  3. Heh, I’ve been spending the past week using up every scrap of baseball, basketball, volleyball, softball, and football fabric scraps that have been accumulating (and I don’t DO sports!!!!), by cutting and sewing them into potato chip blocks. Sewing them into rows now and hope to have a flimsy done tomorrow. That print, surprisingly, is NOT in the endless pile of baseball squares.
