Warm Up America

Last night before heading to bed, I made a couple more blanket sections for Warm up America. Like I said, this is becoming a new obsession. So easy to do and I can send in the sections and let someone else join them into a blanket for donation!

I love that they’re using up leftover yarn too although I will admit I grabbed a full few skeins and tossed them in the bag for VA.

I’m still checking out patterns but so far these are the ones I’ve found that I like.

The shell stitch

Here’s a group of 4 sections – found free on Ravelry … so far I like sections 1 and 2.

And the Sc and Dc section also found free on Ravelry.

There are lots more listed at this site but I haven’t been through them all yet.

I’ve finished day one of my drive to Harrisonburg. About 5 hours … and I’m checked into the hotel for a relaxing evening and night before driving the rest of the way tomorrow. I’m lucky I can use Adam’s Friends and Family Marriott rate so I don’t have to push myself too hard.

  1. That seems like a smart plan. I have a friend who’s encouraging me to visit her summer home, nearly 500 miles from here. If I broke up the trip, I’ll bet I could do that drive. Thanks for the inspiration!
