I got started this evening on my challenge quilt for the month after Keith and I had a movie/dinner date today.
Since the month is already halfway over I’m going with easy. Happy Blocks from Charm squares!

I’m glad to be at my sewing machine!
As far as yesterday’s post, no one criticized the blog content recently, I just wanted to set expectations for content going forward as I adjust to the changes in my life.
I appreciate the encouragement and support from you all. It means a lot to me. Thank you.
HUH? Mary, I am concerned about you! I must’ve missed your announcement? What’s up?

Great color palette! This will be really pretty.
Love the colors!
I am so glad that I didn’t offend you.
The quilt is great. A favorite pattern of mine very easy and impactful. For children the suares are choices of current likes. And framing colors match or coordinate with the squares.
You have picked the centers up to a more interesting and adult form to simple patterns that have broader appeal. The borders still work the same way. Again you have made a great choice.
We’ve all had set-backs of one kind or another. We all know what they are. The important thing for me personally is to have a back-up plan, a plan B, or and ‘that will have to wait a bit’ attitude. The main thing is to keep going in a positive direction, with a positive attitude. It’s a blessing to be able to switch to another project. It’s a blessing to have something to fallback on. My cardiologist said the most important thing is to keep moving. And he’s my age and a cardiac patient himself – so he knows it’s not as easy (or flippant) as it might sound! You’re still finding a way to serve and meet the needs of others. Your attitude continues to inspire.
Life is short Mary, so it’s important that you give 100% to whatever you want to do. This blog is something you do on the side and people need to understand that. Now that Keith is retired, it’s time for the two of you to really have fun.
Mary, I admire your grace and fortitude in accomplishing as much as you do in spite of your health setbacks. You don’t owe any explanations. I am looking forward to seeing you and the other ladies in Maine next month. It’s always a highlight and starts off the Fall season for me.
No need to apologize. You need to live your best life. It’s odd how we all want a snapshot into others lives. The day to day stuff isn’t off putting. Maybe it make us realize we are all very much alike. Our every day lives are not that exciting but when added up they definitely seem more interesting.
