A beautiful ending to a nice day!

Keith was being active this morning and decided on a nice long walk … first to the Portland Headlight and then to the bluff at Willard Beach with a view of the same headlight!

Finn and I stayed at the rental and I worked on the crochet blanket. This afternoon we headed out to Walmart to get some needed kitchen items. It’s always a challenge to cook in someone else’s kitchen!
We also made a stop at Marden’s thanks to Brenda letting me know they had a sale on wide backs. I might have bought a few yards. No I didn’t buy those whole bolts!!!

I’ve got plenty of fabric and could piece backs but it’s nice to just load up the longarm and get quilting.
What beautiful views!! I like the wide backs too, and usually use up leftovers quickly enough.
Gorgeous view! Wide back fan here. I’d have “rest of the bolt please” 🤣🤣
Many years ago a friend and I traveled to Maine to visit another friend and we went to Portland Headlight with her. We also had stuffed lobster at a restaurant by the water. I can’t remember the name. It was 1991! I’m glad you are resting and also enjoying your trip.
I know what you mean about someone else’s kitchen! Whenever I’m heading to a rental I bring frying pans, knives, graters, lemon juicers, etc that I have bought over the years for just that purpose. Makes life much smoother 😊
I’ve never checked our fabric at Marden’s before. I’ll remember that from last year.
