I met one of my blog friends this afternoon and we had a wonderful lunch and sat and chatted for a nice long time. It was SUPER crowded in Portland where we met … even before I saw the TWO cruise ships I figured there was one in the port.

Luckily Kathleen is a local and knew a number of possible places to walk to for lunch and the Thai place we chose wasn’t crowded at all.

Check out her fall placemats for donation!

After a nice lunch … I had an even nicer dinner!

Yep, that’s Lobster Roll #3 but we’ve been here for 2 whole weeks so I am pacing myself!

  1. It sounds like a wonderful day. I don’t eat “lobstah” , but I know people love it.

  2. Enjoy those lobster rolls. We got a Thai restaurant here this summer. So far I’ve only eaten there once but the food was excellent. We’re a tourist town too in summer, although on the small scale. But the restaurants do fill up quickly during the summer season.

  3. Ah, great placemats and it sounds like a great day! We got home over the weekend from our usual fall color Maine visit and I had a series of wonderful fish sandwiches (not a lobster roll person). Turns out the best fish sandwiches came from a “fish shack” adjacent to a gas station that sells lobster fishing gear, apple cider donuts and the largest selection I have ever seen of flavored pork rinds. Haven’t tried that, but the donuts and fish sandwiches are great, albeit not together.

    Cheers,

  4. I don’t eat lobster but I’m 100% a fried catfish girl lives close to the Mississippi River. Enjoy your favorite when you are there.
