I had a great afternoon yesterday meeting with Brenda from my HeartStrings group. She brought me a big bin of tops and back from the sew-in last month that I couldn’t fit in my suitcase … I’m going to finish them and eventually, they’ll come back here to Maine for donation.

One of the things we sat and talked about was next year’s sew-in and the project we work on. Over the years, we’ve chosen different projects to focus on. This year was RWB quilts for veterans although we always include other ones too.

For our next Maine sew-in, we will be focusing on Sharon Inspired HeartString quilts. Years ago, Sharon introduced us to her “planned” HeartStrings quilts and we fell in love with them. They always turn out beautiful. I can’t wait to get started on one.

And this was the first one I made …. I love it and every other one I’ve made through the years!
