Quilted

I’m getting ready to run out for another appointment but I did get downstairs for a little while and got 3 tops quilted … the 2 little quilts were a bonus when I realized that I had enough backing and batting for one of the little quilts and then if I added a piece of batting I could get a second one quilted too. And Yes, those two cute little quilts were pieced by Ann!

And the one I’d planned to quilt was my Whale 🐳 Quicker Strippie!

Quilting is a mix of freehand with a pantograph in the larger sections – pantograph is Water Dance. I’ve had it for a while and this was a good opportunity to try it out. Next time I use it I need to increase the height of the pattern … it’s a little more dense that I like as is but it’s ok here.

It’s funny because I came up with my Quick Strippie pattern about 24 years ago so I could practice/learn to quilt on the longarm and they’re still good for that!

  1. I’m going to baste two boys lap quilt tops together and quilt them on my long arm too. I picked up a piece of wide backing and I think this will work. Hopefully it will. Yours look great as usual.
