  1. Yes, yes, yes it was worth it! That is exactly what I envisioned when you asked what to do with the border! It turned out just beautiful! I’m sure it was a lot of extra work (and buying more fabric).

  2. Mary, It’s absolutely gorgeous. But then I’m crazy about blue, especially these brights. I’ve got some pre-cut kaleidoscope pieces and you’ve given me inspiration to do something with them.

  3. Oh, I love the way it turned out. The dark bacgrounds behind the sideways blue blocks really set it off… and I love, love, love the border…

  4. I just love that border! Very creative. Any rhyme or system there or did you just keep those pieces odd shaped on purpose?

  5. Fantastic looking quilt … definitely worth the extra time/effort … it shows! Kudos to the quilter! Flatlander (Linda)

  6. I like it! I wouldn’t mind adopting it, it would look fab in my bedroom (mentally trotting off to the stash or fabric store for similar colors…) 😉

  7. Looks great! I always feel a sense of accomplishment from squeezing something out of my scraps. I love using up every last piece of certain fabrics. I think this was worth the effort of the pieced border!

  8. Mary that is just gorgeous!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE the border you did – whoever gets that quilt is going to just love it to pieces .. well i hope not literally LOL .. but you know what i meanhugs n great job!!!
