5 quilts tied, 1 lobster roll eaten – expect those numbers to climb over the new few days!
As usual, Bev has my tying table all set up and ready with a LARGE roll of batting! My binding buddy Rebecca, didn’t make the sew-in this year and I’m missing her but Brenda and Jackie are going to fill in and bind the quilts that I tie. Brenda took the first day and Jackie is on binding duty tomorrow.
We work long hours but time out was taken for dinner … a lobster roll sitting by the water … it doesn’t get better than this!

I think every seaside town in Maine has the lobster roll stand or restaurant with a fantastic view! I am waiting to see how many different views show up here.

It’s been a long time since I’ve tied quilts but I’m thinking about going back to it. I’ve used, yarn, embroidery floss (often with Fray check to prevent the slick floss from un-tying) and crochet thread. Is crochet thread your preferred product? Do you use, I don’t know what it’s called, although I’ve seen people do it (there probably is a You Tube video) where you use long lengths of thread from place to place and THEN cut and tie or do you do each as an individual stitch and knot? I hope you know what I’m speaking of! Thank you for any suggestions or helpful hints.
